"GO GREEN" PROJECT

Students in 9th Grade Business Technology Applications classes were divided into teams to complete a "Go Green" Project. Each team selected a team leader and created their team's name (shown on the navigation bar.)

Why choose "Go Green"? Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Youth Organization is an integral part of my career and technical education program. The FBLA Creed states: I promise to use my abilities to make the world a better place for everyone. What better way for students to learn how to make our world a better place than by going green. This project allows students to put into practice the three key categories of the FBLA emblem:

  • Service: the word service donates the idea that every individual should be interested in and take responsibility for promoting better social, political, and family life.
  • Education: the word education is symbolic of the idea that education is the right of every individual.
  • Progress: the word progress represents the challenges of tomorrow which depends on mutual understanding and cooperation of business, industry, labor, religious, family, and educational institutions and by people of our own and other lands.

Students were given the project outline and decided as a team which items they would complete in each category. (See Project description under Project on the navigation bar.)

Total Points for Project - 500 pts.

  • Service - 100 pts. (each part - 33 pts.)
  • Education - 100 pts. (each part - 33 pts.)
  • Progress - 100 pts. (each part - 33 pts.)
  • Project Report - 200 pts. (must include all 9 parts)
